Specialties

  • Graphics - Picture Optimization
  • Audio - Sound
  • Movies - Videos

The pictures used within a web site, or anytime the pictures are meant to be viewed using the Internet you should optimize the pictures for web viewing. Making the smallest possible file size for the quickest load time.

Also, making all picture files the same size make photo album viewing more pleasant. As well as keeping shopping carts looking constant.

When you do need high definition photos available it's still a good idea to present a thumb nail (small photo) first.

Batching graphic files allows large collections of photos to be made 'Web Ready' by limiting the size and DPI of the graphics. Optimizing them for the quickest load time. You can also watermark photos giving you some added protection from thievery if that's a concern.

Audio files are a bit of a specialty of mine. I have my own radio show called Gray Rock Radio which are broadcast on Hope Mountain Radio. I usually recommend a Flash Play for delivering audio files on web pages. Either single play or play lists, they just seem so familiar for the user with the play buttons and such. You can see an example of a play list type of audio file player here. A single file player here. But there is the occasion still for a Quicktime file if you are making your audio files available for download.

Need some help with some audio files, perhaps I can help you out.

For web presentation of Movies/Videos, Flash has quickly become the standard. For the basic reasons of smaller file size and quicker delivery providing smother viewing of video presentations. Problem for many is the video is on a camera or on a DVD and they can't convert it or edit it. I can take input from any of the following as long as you provide the device and cords.

Video inputs

Which is recorded in real time into a file which can then be edited (titles added, scene transitions, music) and converted to a Flash Video File for playing on a web page using a Flash video player.
Depending on the number of videos you plan on adding consider a player with it's own menu (video selection) or a single video per web page.
Companies with Training or Product Presentation videos already in the vault should consider transferring all to Flash Files. Use what you already got by making it 'Web Ready' and adding them to your web pages.
